IISD's SDG Knowledge Hub recently published an op-ed written by SDSN USA Co-Chair Prof. Helen Bond, SDSN USA DEJ4SD Co-Chair Deepa Vedavyas, and Prof. Justin Hansford from Howard University. Their article highlights the need for countries to "refocus and reaffirm" their efforts towards the principle: leave no one behind (LNOB). The authors argue that one of the central pillars of the 2030 Agenda and SDGs is LNOB because it "requires an unequivocal commitment by UN Member States to not only eradicate poverty, but to end discrimination and exclusion along the lines of race, gender, and other layers of identity."
