In honor of Women’s History Month and National Nutrition Month, SDSN USA will be holding Zero Hunger Pathways Project Dialogue 5: Exploring Equitable Approaches to Ending Hunger in America on March 28th, 2022.
This dialogue is being jointly organized by US SDSN’s Zero Hunger Pathways Project and Diversity and Equity Working Group and Howard University’s Center for Women, Gender and Global Leadership. It. will explore the impact of historic inequities and what policies and approaches are needed to address racial and gender inequities to put the country on the pathway to zero hunger.

Zero Hunger Pathways Project Dialogue 4: Taking Innovations to Scale will focus on identifying innovative anti-hunger initiatives from across the U.S. that address equity, healthy diets, resilience, and sustainability. Speakers from the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty Meals-to-You program and the World Hunger Relief Produce Prescription Program will share interdisciplinary approaches to solving hunger and lead a discussion on what it takes to scale these and other initiatives.

Join us on March 29 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Eastern for Improving Health and Nutrition Outcomes through SNAP: A dialogue on evidence-based recommendations to strengthen the USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
This 2-hour virtual event will explore a concrete set of recommendations to strengthen SNAP as a means to contribute to ending hunger in the U.S. while ensuring improved health, equity, sustainability, and resilience. The discussion will bring together a cross-disciplinary group of experts to explore proposed changes and provide critical feedback, which will be summarized in a post-dialogue brief, used in education and engagement activities, and incorporated into a broader Zero Hunger Pathways Report. Recommendations and supporting reference materials will be circulated to registered participants prior to the event.
