Regional Decarbonization Pathways Workshop: Linking Universities and Governments alongside the US Conference of Mayors, June 22, 2024
SDSN USA invites you to express your interest in participating in our in-person Regional Decarbonization Pathways Workshop alongside the US Conference of Mayors this June! The workshop seeks to bolster connections between US universities and local governments, bringing together national academic experts and government leaders to share knowledge, chart sustainable pathways to zero emissions, and translate climate commitments into reality.
As the US federal government accelerates efforts to mitigate climate change, state and local governments face the challenge of planning and implementing decarbonization actions within their jurisdictions. We hope this workshop will serve to strengthen partnerships between our SDSN USA network members and their local governments to support science-policy based policy-making, especially for those jurisdictions participating in the Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) program.
Who should apply?
Academics who have or are interested in supporting their local jurisdiction(s) in pursuit of long-term decarbonization. We welcome academics with a range of expertise and backgrounds including energy-related policy, technology, modeling, and/or economics expertise.
In order to join, please express your interest by April 19, 2024. See the concept note for more information. All travel and workshop expenses will be covered for successful applicants.
