On Monday, June 13, SDSN USA held a networking meeting focused on SDG 4: Quality Education. The meeting brought together members and partners from across the US for updates, networking, and discussion about Education for Sustainable Development.
In breakout rooms, the over 60 participants who joined from across the US shared experiences, challenges, successes, lessons learned, and opportunities for collaboration. Useful resources were also shared in the chat throughout the meeting, and are included below.
In addition to discussion, Dr. Helen Bond gave opening remarks, highlighting the important intersections between education and equality. Dr. Radhika Iyengar provided an overview of the new Mission 4.7 Community of Practice for the US. Katelyn Armbruster, Ann Neilsen, and Emily Fano gave flash presentations on innovative education practices in the US, including Teacher Awards, Turn it Around Cards, and the Climate and Resilience Task Force. Dr. Amber Webb also gave a presentation on SDSN’s SDG Academy.
