Tim Mahoney is a Peace Corps Response Volunteer in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.  After 23 years as a teacher educator in academia, he decided it was time to put his knowledge and experience to work in a more global context. His assignment in St. Vincent is to work with the Ministry of Education to create a national system of new teacher induction. He is also working on increasing the capacity of teachers and educational officials to teach literacy in a sustainable way. He hopes to continue his work on global sustainability and educational development after his service ends.
